My therapeutic approach involves allying with clients in support of their goals. This approach is based on a “systems” perspective, which emphasizes the understanding and appreciation of the powerful interactive forces that affect the quality of our lives and health, including relationships, family histories, and social context.
Working from this perspective provides a positive outlook on people’s potential for rewriting personal and relationship scripts as well as greater awareness of self and others. Consistent with this approach is the role of the therapist as a partner, coach and guide, who is invested in helping clients reach their goals. Through this therapeutic relationship, clients may find a renewed sense of potential for themselves, and their relationships.
I am committed to respecting and working within the context of the personal values of each client I serve.
